About the event
In the double bill with Rutkay Özpinar (NL/TR): "Losing Senses" &
Poernima Gobardhan (NL/IND): "Kāli Mātā" possible
The choreographers Miroshnichenko and Kuznetsova pose the question of home and how important it is for people. What about the people who have lost their homes, who are fleeing, like thousands of Ukrainians at the moment? Here, with dance-like, creative means, it is told and worked through first-hand what flight and expulsion feel like.
“It is bad for a person when his house, his belongings are destroyed. But those who lose everything, forever, are a hundred times worse off. Destroyed things can be retrieved, repaired, but if you lose something forever, no matter how long you search, you will not find it.” - Miroshnichenko/Kuznetsova

Cologne's international festival for contemporary dance!
In addition to the performances, workshops for professionals and those interested in dance also offer opportunities for exchange between dance professionals and the audience over the two weeks.
In each individual workshop, you will work intensively with one of the artists for between one and three days.
The workshops are offered for two levels:
SOFT (with little prior knowledge) or
INTENSIVE (with dance experience & professionals)
